History of the Pedalonga
Founded in 2004, the Pedalonga reached its peak in 2009, when 255 pairs and numerous champions on two wheels participated in the race, including the famous Gibo Simoni. In 2011 the Pedalonga started offering a Marathon event covering all routes in Val Comelico, perfectly combining all local municipalities.
Today it is a renowned FCI paired bicycle race, with the start and finish lines located in the municipality of Comelico Superiore (BL). In 2016, 400 pairs participated.
Immersed in the extraordinary landscape of the Dolomites, the Pedalonga is an event dedicated to all athletes and enthusiasts of the world of mountain biking. This race is included in the 4seasons MTB Tour circuit. Simply irresistible.

A.S.D. Spiquy Team
The team’s name is inspired by the words Spina and Quaternà, two places located in the heart of the Dolomites, accessible via the Pedalonga route.
Over the years the organisation has grown in size thanks to the involvement of many local people and volunteers who believe in the project. Over the course of just a few years the Spiquy Team has become accredited in the field of regional and national cycling, becoming one of the most important circuits, in active collaboration with the National Federation.
The Spiquy Team’s desire to get young people to feel passionate about sports and nature, and to appreciate and love the mountains is at the heart of everything we do. In fact, our basic technical mountain bike courses are very popular.
Today the Spiquy Team consists of over 100 mountain-bike and road-bike enthusiasts, who travel through the Dolomites – especially during the spring and summer months – both in competitions, and on excursions with the simple objective of immersing themselves in nature.
2009 marked an important step in the history of the Spiquy Team: the desire to offer a winter sports event allowed us to broaden our vision. And so, the Pitturina Ski Race was born, an initiative that has distinguished itself in the world of ski mountaineering over the course of just a few years.
Today, our determined and passionate team devotes itself to organising sporting events and initiatives that are aimed at young people, highlighting the positive values of sport and the extraordinary landscape of an uncontaminated and incomparable region such as Val Comelico, in the heart of the Dolomites.

Where to Find Us
The Pedalonga runs through the wonderful region of Val Comelico, in the province of Belluno (Italy). The start and finish lines will be located in Sega Digon, Comelico Superiore.
